Thanks for the info.
I really don't know anything about linux, I have to search and learn about it.
I'am thinking of partitioning, but first I have to take permission from my elder brother.
Hi addu,
I suggest you try sidux (http://sidux.com/) for me a great distro.
So just download a live CD/DVD (better starting with kde).
Burn, maybe with nero, the iso.
Start booting your pc/laptop from CD/DVD.
Check about the hardware (sidux have a great support detection also for wifi) and try.
Linux can see your win partition and works fine with our mobile (tranfert files, telnet, bluetooth) without installing driver...
If you like you can easy install the distro in your pc (just need few GB), but maybe good a linux partition, so you can learn, make pkg ecc. ecc.
With this Ext2 IFS For Windows you can easy browse linux partition starting from win so you don't lose space and you can open files in the linux partition.
So try![]()

addu,
Prior to partition the hard disk you may want to try the distribution live CD / DVD (do not install anything, you can run a shell and check if your hardware is recognized correctly.)
Clearly run linux from a CD / DVD will be much slower than that run from disk (if the partition and install).
Meanwhile, test, you learn a little at a time, and KDE is very easy to use (much like windows).
Try it![]()
Ya! I'm going to try live cd's first.
Using RED HAT at my college seems fun cause of new things to learn and explore.
Surely will try a LINUX OS.
Thanks again Linux Geek.![]()
