not sure though, none of us has one. Maybe you can find out and tell us?
Do past some pics
Well, the phone is pretty cool... blackberry killer? I don't know about that. I've got a couple of questions, hopefully someone out there has one of these things too..
Can the Q run java programs? (would really suck if it can't... I would probably return it then)
Anyone else have problems voice dialing with a headset?
Also, if I use PDAPlanet on my laptop, will I be charged by Verizon?
Thanks.
I saw and played with a Q this past Tuesday at the Gartner Security conf. in DC. The guy who had one was the CTO of the company that had done the security eval on the unit. Said he had been using it as his personal device for about 3-4 months and couldn't stop raving about it.
I ordered one and will have it this Monday.
A few people on a car forum I am on have them too - so far everyone is pretty impressed.
Hi guys... unfortunately the only digital cam I have is on the back of the Q. It is a good device, but I really don't see what makes it better than a blackberry though without java so you need to wait for developers to convert their apps to run on it. The camera is a nice toy, but you need to use Verizon... which kind of blows.
It's unfortunate that at this stage there is no java support when seemingly every other Motorola phone provides it. Hopefully someone hacks up a java runtime for it sometime soon.
Got java working thanks to this thread http://www.qusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1314 . Now it's a sweet phone.
I got the Q through US Cellular. I am still trying to figure out what kind of applications I can put on it. All I find are .SIS files and they wont run, but I hear the Q cant. I was going to get the blackberry but the sales lady talked me into the Q..I hope I made their right choice.
