Default 4gb SD card error, Please help!

I have a built in SD card reader on my Dell Inspiron 1501, but when I insert my new 4gb SD card, it gives me this error- "This device cannot start. (code 10.) Is it an issue with my card reader not being able to read a card this big, or do I have a bad card?

Has anyone else had this issue? Should I invest in a USB card reader and see if it works? I ordered this card from Newegg.com and would rather not have to ship it back, only to find out that it's an issue with my card reader.

Any suggestions are much appreciated, as I'm anxious to start adding media to my new E6.

Why is this question here? I mean, isn't this supposed to be on some Dell forum?
