Default [A1k] solution for the boot loop

    taken from a1k.co.uk

It took 36 hrs of searching, downloading and trying everything short of cracking the phone open with a hammer but I got a solution and it works.

    Very easy.

Being a dumbass like someothers I installed handyday04 and on the next reboot, the phone was stuck on the flashing motorola 3g screen.
I have WinXP sp1 as the O/S (not sure if it matters)

    Need: USB cable
Main charger plugged into the USB cable
Program- RSD lite 1.4 (9.5mb) search on the net, if not email me
Firmware for the A1000 (35mb) Located here http://rvracing.net/motoa1k/firmware.zip

    Version: REL 51.14.15
    Basisband: A1000_U_2A.35.07P
    Flex: SE5057AE8W800B
    AP Config: SE5057AE8W8_010A

It is from slavi.org. According to what they say it is the latest for the A1000 from 3 in Germany I think. Don't really know but my phone works and this is the best part, it remained unlocked. YES it did not lock to 3's network or else I'd be porked as I am in Canada.

Procedure: Unrar the files to somewhere handy (eg desktop)
Install RSD lite. But don't start the program yet.
If running XP, open up task manager and shut down the 3 programs running with the Motorola Desktop suite. (the two router files and MDS.EXE)
Now do the thing we all tried a million times, remove battery, hold down the two game buttons (on top) and plug in USB cable with charger attached. Phone will enter the firmware upgrade screen.
    Start RSDlite.
Allow windows to install all necessary drivers.
In the RSDlite screen, your A1000 will show as A920 or unkown (mine did).
The phone screen will read connected.
Click the box with the 3 dots next to the start button.
    Locate the downloaded firmware file.
Now click start. It takes a while, your phone screen will finally indicate something other that Motorola 3G, (Thank GOD) halfway through you might even see more drivers being installed. Once it reaches 100% the process will say failed.
Here is the kicker. Other sites have said to repeat the above procedure until you get a pass. I didn't, you do what you like.
I have rebooted the phone 5 times, gone through every screen, tested the camera. The only problem is that it hasn't recognized the mem card yet, but I haven't played with it yet. (UPDATE - Mem card recognized after I installed it correctly)
Some of my settings remained unchanged, although I lost everything that was stored on the internal memeory.

Hope this helps. Sorry for posting a link in your forum but the file is very rare, I know I looked all day for it.

    Good luck

    Alex

PS forgot to mention this is for those who installed a 3rd party program that crashed their phone. If you have insufficient memory, and that is causing your problems there is another solution that is not as extreme as this one.

IQEM, there's a firmware file in this other motorola website which you commented

"must combine with AP config (SA1860A T673RG 026 APD POG.shx) to change it back to english after flash your M1k using this AP japanese..."

How do I do this? Do I just flash it with SA1860A T673RG 026 APD POG.shx AFTER flashing with M1000 AP JAPANESE 62.30.01 SUPER GUI shx? Or do I need to do something else to combine them?

Is that the UK Version ?

If it yes, don't try to flash it into your M1K, coz will make your phone BOOTLOOP
