External keys not found

Hi all,

I got a new razr2 V8 and I cant find the external touch sensitive keys. It displays only the clock and wallpaper. How to enable them???

Don't worry, trust me there are three of them. The thing is that (so far) they get activated in music player ONLY. The V9 and V9m provide that capability to use them in idle screen too, but the V8 doesn't. But who knows maybe Motorola will turn smarter and add this feature - anyway they've been noticed.

As I said in a post before, it's a shame to only use these functions in a music player in a 480K phone making them redundant...

Well, the phone has been out for a LONG time now. You think that they would have had firmware updates, and maybe they have. I have just been too busy to search for them.

The problem is for some odd reason that it has become very hard to leak Generic firmware for these LJ platform phones. From what i know, they have moved all firmware to a newer more secure server and thats why its extremely hard for us to obtain newly developed generic firmware.

I am still trying to get my hands on some firmware for you guys and the Z6 crew, but i can't promise anything of course. Hopefully luck is on my side.

I think the outside keys are assigned on a specific CG file. Not sure which one but if these phones are similar to EZX models in structure then it would be located in a CG file instead of the 0032 Global flex bit map.
