This is another CG52 reflash for V8. I just have added another 2 skins, so there are now 5 skins to choose from (Alkali, Asia, Indium, Plush and CMCC).
The major difference now is that when you choose the CMCC skin the icons will change as well as when you choose the Asia skin. Nevertheless they are all unedited skin and it has pushed the CG52 to its limit, size wise, I had to choose a much smaller screensaver otherwise SBF Recalc would not allowed the reflash to be made.

Any chance of making the skins available for Z6? Thanks

This is a further development of the CG52 for V8. You will have 4 preloaded skins and 4 skins that you can access via Windows because they are in the "My Files", which you can access via Windows Explorer after you set the USB Settings to "Storage Device" under Connections.
Now here ist the installation guide.
First you download the flash and unpack it.
You will find apart from the flash file also a folder "Skins" with 4 subfolders (Skin1, Skin2, Skin3 and Skin4) and their content.
Before you flash set the USB Setting to "Storage Device" under Connection and connect your V8 via USB cable to PC and wait until you can see the "My Files" stuff in Windows Explorer (on my PC it is Removable Disk F, now copy the "Skins" folder with all the content into the "root" folder, which would be F:\ in my case, so that I have F:\Skins and F:\Skins\Skin1, F:\Skins\Skin2 ...and so on.
Once that is done you can flash the flash file.
After restart you can see all 8 skins in Filemanager, the 4 preloaded skins in "Preloaded Skins" and the 4 you can access in Skin1, Skin2.....
When you open a Theme you now have a choice of 8 skins to select.
There is not a lot of difference between the 4 preloaded and the 4 accessable skins, simply because it is not possible to edit the iconres.ezx for V8 yet and the iconres.ezx holds all the skin graphics and DRM icons, but once that can be done it should be usefull to have 4 skin that can be easily accessed via Windows Explorer rather then to create a new CG52 every time, also there is a limit on how much you can put into a CG52.

This is the evolution of the 4+4-skin CG52. I have added a new folder into the Skins folder called Custom and inside that are the startup/shutdown animation and sound, which now can be changed via Windows Explorer in the same way as before with the skins.
Installation is the same way as before.
First download the package and unpack.
Then select "Storage Device" or "Memory card" in USB Settings in Connection and connet to PC via USB cable and wait until Windows has recognised the V8 "User" partition, Open Windows Explorer and copy the "Skins" folder with all the content into the "root directory" of the V8 User partition. (In plain English now: the V8 shows up as Removable Disk F:\ in my Windows Explorer, so I copy the "Skins" folder from the package into F:\ - F:\ is the "root directory"!).
Once that is done then you can flash the flash (Total-Custom-CG52.sbf) onto your V8 with RSD.
Now the animation files can be any name, as long as they are still animated gif files. Best are not longer then 3 seconds animation and not much bigger then 400 KB.
The sound files have to be the exact same name always, so you can use a file called "Dirty_Punk.wav" and rename it to "ui_power_up_mono.wav" if you want it to be the startup sound or into "ui_power_down_mono.wav" if it should be the shutdown sound. Also here are sound not much longer then 3 seconds best.
Now that is me done, you can change 4 skins (once the iconres.ezx can be edited), the startup sound and animation and the same for the shutdown, all via Windows Explorer, no more need to create CG52's.
You also can use the filemanager on the V8 to browse the folders and files.

I have noticed a Bug!
When you try to replace a file that is somehow in current use, e.g. skin, sound, then the V8 will hang itself after disconnecting the USB cable and only the battery out and back in helps, but also the files you thought were transfered have 0KB.
So if you want to replace a skin file, make sure the skin is not in current use!!!
