Hi, my V8 arrived today, I’m now just getting started to enjoy this new toy and got one small problem to read text messages via external display screen, some reviews said that we can perform a few tasks without ever opening up the phone. In my version the only task working is the music player activated when opened. Do I have a different limited firmware? Am I doing anything wrong?

problem solved, with some security passwords activated I don't have access to some text messages features on external display.

did you blocked text messages with password key ? if so you cannot acess it via external screen

naah i din't ,
but usually i guess all the messages tht i receive from the service providers r the one in which i jst get the ok button on the external screen n no view button ..

yup, service provider messages cant be opened on the ext screen. which IMHO is a good thing, since Idea (my service provider) tends to message far too regularly for my liking.

What are service provider messages? I never receive them, or does this include the text messages I receive from my contacts as well??

Which ones can I receive then. It doesn't make sense to me
