any modders yet?

i have just got my V8 and doing all sorts of research these days...

I have tried all means used in E2 or E680.....
i have once managed to installed the Motorola USB Networking driver and connected with IP: 192.168.16.1
but still cant able to telnet to 192.168.16.2

I have tried to scan the free ports on 192.168.16.2, only port 21 (i.e. ftp) was free and all other ports like port 23 (i.e. telnet) are closed, could anyone managed to access to the system file and make a simple mod like adding the 'skin' ?

honestly, even i cant figure it out how could i managed to install as a network device by "Motorola USB Networking driver" and I cant get it made now.......

I have been able to connect using Radiocomm, but thats about it.

Did you connect via hyperterminal to open up the motnet service?

What color was the light in radiocomm? Try the newest version of radiocomm. Might help.

Unfortunately i dont have my proto-type anymore. But when i did have my V8 i was able to connect via Radiocomm. I did not try to telnet it. But once i get my Retail version in about a week or so i will see what i can do with the phone.

Thats great. in the mean time im still trying to figure out radiocomm, i can connect but im not sure were to go from there, it wont connect to the file system, but im trying to figure out if it will let me read the seems. any ideas? im very familar with the p2k programs but this is my first time with RC

i havent tried with RadioComm, could anyone kindly explain wht radiocomm is and how does it connect to the phone ?
