JUIX is an interm build, the only phone released was the ROKR E2, this is basically a Linux 2.4 Kernel, Monta Vista platform using the Chameleon interface. The core of the JUIX is similar to the EZX phones. Its something lie S60 and UIQ, S60 was the non touchscreen interface of Symbian while UIQ was the touchscreen interface. Similar to JUIX and EZX. EZX s nothing but the name of the interface, not the OS, the os is Montavista. Egs E895, A910, E2

LJ, is a totally different matter, it uses the Chameleon interface on a brand new core OS, which runs linux version 2.6 core, It falls under the open source GNU licensce and is running Monta Vista I think, but I maybe wrong. Now even in LJ phones there are different versions. The Z6 and the V8 run Version 6.3 while newer phones are supposed to run version 7.1.

EZX phones never had java intergrated into the UI to begin with so for

    Alpha,
I am curious. What firmware version is on your prototype??

Some of the options I have seen in earlier reviews arent installed on my phone or have been omitted in the production version.

    1. Ring Profiles-- There are only 4. Ring Only, Vibrate Only, Silent, Ring then Vibrate. (Some reviews of the prototype shows 7 profiles.)

    2. There is no built in IM Client like the one shown in your menu in the review pictures. (I had to install eBuddy to get AIM, Yahoo and MSN).

i went through many firmwares, from 03I to 01I. The new version i am supposed to get has 16R, i see you have 17R. Once i get the new version i will start to hack it and we will have some goodies!
