Also, can a 1GB microSD card be used in the V3x?
Thanks![]()
Hello there,
I've bought Motorola V3X two days ago and want to connect my PC to internet (I prefer GPRS, but CSD is ok too) using it. Does someone knows how to do it?
And another question... Can I see internal phone memory as USB mass storage device when connecting it to PC (with linux again)? I don't want to use software that came with phone (and I can't - I'm using linux).
Thanks!![]()

What is this "Microsoft" that you speak of? Washing powder? Coffee? Correction fluid? I can't figure it out. Anyone else know?
Hey guys... You -can- use a 1gb MicroSD card in the V3x. It's not officially supported (the max memory supported is 512mb) but you might want to make sure you are using a SanDisk card (those are supplied by moto).Originally Posted by Kiran
As for using the device as a GPRS modem in linux, I haven't managed to do this before. I do know that the phone needs to be seen by the distro as a modem. If you can get that happening, all you need is a phone dialer (there's one that comes with KDE, KPPP i think its called) and then get it to dial #99#. This activates the GPRS connection.
Otherwise you could use it as a bluetooth modem, then dial the #99# with a dialer.
As for seeing the phone as mass storage, if it is possible, it will be in Menu>Settings>Connections>USB Connection. If it's there (can't remember if the V3x has this or not, the newer ones do), change it to USB Mass Storage mode.
Hopefully this info will be of help.
