This applies to the A1200/E2/E6 version, for A780/e680 i think that there is a short tutorial on some other topic, and reproducing the same that i did is not too hard

oops! sorry for my misunderstanding at this point.

am i right, that in the end there will be no difference between running OpenMoko on A1200/E6/E2 and A780/E680i?

the reason i ask is, i want to move the 3 sections on OpenMoko into 1.

The difference, when the a1200 kernel become more mature will be only a different Xserver. (beside the different kernel, of course).

I think it is a good idea to merge all openmoko sections.

Looks awesome! OM looks really smooth!

I suppose there isn't yet any gsm support?

There is. But we miss the glue (gsmd support) that makes OpenMoko be able to make calls.

Excuse my lack of understanding here:

Does this mean that, for example, I could use a terminal to send specific AT commands to the BP to make a call, but there is no software to do it nicely yet? Or does it mean that there is support in UI for making calls but no way to make it interface with the hardware/the way to talk to whatever makes calls isn't known yet?

Does the fact that OM are likely dropping gsmd in favour of a dbus based soln mean that you are not going after a gsmd solution?
