    Default OpenMoko 2007.2 on A780

    here are some more screenshots (om 2007.2 running on e680).

    For om 2007.2 on the e680 the only customization i did was to reduce the size of the splash screen in /usr/share/pixmaps/xsplash.ppm (and this is running off rootfs), but other than that its stock OM.

    the qvga updates to om.2 are pretty nice, some work still needs to be done for
    the icons in the panel (e.g. bluetooth and usb icons at the top of the screen) and the keyboard layout seemed hosed for the terminal app but
    other than that its really cool; and the pictures simply do not do the kinetic scrolling
    its due justice - very slick!

    nice to see that there is some progress in this
    the blurry look of the screenshots is because of the new picture resizing on motorolafans, i think.

    yes, i was very excited to see that Stefan S and Mickey L were getting back into openezx and look forward to more progress in the near future.

    and as for the blurry screenshots i think it might be the motofans setting because the raw images look fine;

    Looks quite nice.

    Think I may try it in some weeks, as I am no developer and not yet experienced with linux embedded stuff ... but when phone calls and so on work (without patching a lot) via openmoko frontend, i'll definitely give it a try.
    .. a dual-boot solution would be the nicest, BTW.
