How to install a A1200 theme??

for themes that have .mtf you need to use the MTF installed which is installed by the MPKG, for other like ____.lin this is alot more complicated, first you need linloader, you need to download zhh.rar which contains 2 cfg files. here

here ill copy you everything that my word document in which i copy and pasted everything i found on this forum to do with this here: ( i take no credit for any of this) ..this consists of lots of people saying this so try them all out, it works fine for me, any more trouble just PM or someone else

ok i got it to work
1) install MPKG
2) Linloader
3) Create a Themes folder in ur Tranflash card
4) unzip ZHH.rar in to the Themes folder
5) install on-lnk.lin w/ linloader
6) copy the theme u want to install in the Themes folder
7) open the Theme (xxxx.lin)


Ok im going to make it really easy for everyone. Im going to copy my themes folder. First make sure you have linloader installed. After that is installed copy my themes folder into ur transflash under the themes folder.
Don't move anything around in the themes folder. Everything is there for a reason. Next click on the on-lnk.lin and run it with linloader. Wait about a min. After that restart the phone. Once the phone boots up go into ur themes folder and click on one of the themes I have already installed to test it. Click on tlinux.lin after like 30sec u will hear it ring to confirm it installed right. Restart ur phone again and everything should start working. All you need to install in my themes folder is the themes u guys download. When you guys download a theme installed it like u see it in my themes folder. Copy the folder and copy the .lin into the themes folder nothing else. This should help everyone to get it to work. In the bottom i attached the url to download my themes folder. ok guys have fun and if it doesn't work ill do another write up with pics. And a side note im running bint53plus3 and it works great for me.

UPDATE: Make sure you copy the cfgs in the zhh.rar to the themes folder then run on-lnk.lin Once you have ran on-lnk.lin the files will disappear. When that happens just recopy them again one last time. These files control the on and off animation. After you install a theme and the on and off works the cfgs will disappear. After it work you dont need to re-copy anything ur done.


The themes will be in the language you have selected on your phone. Whoever took all of the screenshots of the themes just had that language selected. If your using english the themes will be in english.


Hello, I am sorry if I did not explain it correctly. This is what i did to get this installed on my phone. I download Badlatino folder from rapidshare and after that place it in my TF. also download zhh.rar folder.
what is missing from badlatino folder is the CFG file which you can find at zhh.rar folder (unrar the folder and just copy the 2 configuration file back to that theme folder from badlatino). now assume you have installed lin loader. just press on-lnk.lin (installed it using linloader) and then wait - about 30second and then restart the phone. Now back to your TF card if you can not find the 2 configuration file that you copy earlier meaning you succesfully installed it. copy the same 2 configuration file earlier back to the theme folder from badlatino. Now you can just go to badlation theme folder and installed like incredible.lin or lmt.lin, tlinux.lin, etc you will hear a ring when its installed. just restart the phone and on off wallpaper button all changed. let me know if it works for you. after that you can just copy more folder to that theme folder and everything should works.

Do not use the 50theme folder yet.
You have to used this theme folder below, copy it to your TF exactly as it is and copy the 2 cfg file (from zhh.rar) into this folder. and then click on-lnk.lin (hold down and go to open with menu -- open with loader). wait 1 minute and then restart. Recopy those 2 cfg file back to this folder and you are set to use .lin theme. TRY Tlinux.lin wait then you hear tone. restart.
You can copy inside the 50theme folder afterward to this folder after.

So here is my feedback ( hum my problem ^^ ). I can't still do it. But I think I get a part of my anwser, I think the problem come from Linloader, it seems it doesn't work. I would like to reinstall it but don't know where to download it . I have on my computer a .system folder I just replace the QTfolder but it still doesn 't work. It so bad , I must be very stupid because I'm still in the same way

EDIT : IT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORKS (lol sorry I'm so happy ) , I'have the on and off power screen, and the wallpaper has changed, i don't know if all the buttons might change , but mine doesn't change so i don't know if it s normal or not ^^. All I do is put the linux folder on my TransFlash card, put the 2 cgf file on it (not the folder just the files, click on on-ink.lin , wait (i don't know maybe 2 , or 5 minutes lol I was surfing ^^) and restart my phone and the on off screen was here. I try the others. Stay tuned ^^

EDIT 2: Hum finally, I don't know why it has worked . Because when I try the apple folder it doesn't work I tried to click on-ink.lin on the root folder it doesn t work and on the apple folder and the cfg files doesn't disappear I'm disappointed I hoped it would worked and I don't know how to uninstall linux themes now :'(

EDIT 3 : It works for the moment only with the folder you gave , the one with linux themes. I'm gonna try others

EDIT 4 : It works with the others themes but to get it to work I must put the theme folder that I want AND the .lin file in the folder where the cfg files has disapeared.

Little tips for those who can't get it to work , you MUST install the "theme" folder with linux on the TF after just take the 2 CFG files on it and "open with" linloader the on-ink.lin wait 2 good minutes to be sure, and restart if it has worked when you put off your phone you must see a power off screen with pinguins with linux. Now put all the 50 folders that contains the themes and click on the lin files that is linked with the theme folder you want to put.

i want to install some new skins but of course it is really not easy.
mayby i have misundestand something.

If i have undestand, i need to replace the .system repertory of my TF card by the .system repertory of mpkg.

so ! after to reset my phone, i have the application but it is not run.
after to download the file mtf.pkg, when i click on it, the phone display :
Can not find an application to open the file

if i undestand, i need to install mpkg to install mtf to install the lin files for new skins ! isnt it ?

somebody can help me because really it is not clear for my poor head...

well as long as u see the MTF icon then it is installed, then for the MTF files holding down on the files until "open with" pops up and select MTF, then wait for about a minutes usually you will hear 3 sounds, don't stop at 1, wait for a while then restart phone and theme should be dun, if it isn't a MTF file then refer to my last comment, which i hope helps clarify things, or go to Alpha's great modding guide in the a1200 section

after to check a lot of topics about the installing of mpkg,
i have installed already :
mpkg
linloader
skins installer
themes installer

but when i upload a new theme with the famous lin file, i open the file with linloader, nothing happens !!!!

if i open with skins intaller or themes installer, i heard a female voice said :
installing complete !

but when i reset my phone, nothing happens, just the phone start with the default color theme. impossible to install a new theme...

somebody can help me please ????
