CAUTION: PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLING A THEME

Dear all,
Themes r the best source to kill a phone. 99% of phone crashes r due to themes. reason is the limited space in ezxlocal. this is the default directory where the themes are installed. please note that these two situations will CRASH your phone,
1. if a theme is to be installed in ezxlocal and it leaves "not enough" space there. and you reboot the phone
2. or a theme gives you error during installation and after that u try to select that partially installed theme and then reboot the phone

to avoid this from happening please
1. try to use themes that are installed in phone memory(diska or sd card)
2. or if u really like an ezx local theme, be sure to free enough space by removing any extra themes first.
3. do not keep more than 3 themes in ezxlocal. try to make it just 2. lesser is better
4. use Theme Manager by Intoxicated to install themes. it takes a little long to install but provides many benefits like telling u free space of ezxlocal at the time of installation

if you try option 1, means installing theme on diska or sd card, please note that you will not be able to connect the phone in mass storage mode. doing this will hang your phone but will not crash the phone. just a reboot and u r fine. however if u need to use mass storage mode you need to switch back to a standard theme and then reboot and then connect. u'll b fine.

if you phone is crashed you'll have this behavior:
1. phone will hang on booting on either motorola screen or startup wall paper of theme
if this has happened then there is no other choice at all but to reflash your phone with PST. this will result in losing all your stuff including contacts/sms/files...every thing on phone. there is no other solution at all.

please note that you can check the space available in ezxlocal by using this command on qonsole or telnet
df -h /ezxlocal > /diska/freeezx.txt
then check the freeezx.txt in file manager.

themes r good to have a look on you phone but dont let them kill the phone. be careful.

mod, can you please stick this caution and also the theme creation guide of eakrin? it will be helpful for users.

i unzipped it and put it in my SD and it didint do anything?

If you have the USBLAN enabled by default on usb connection, you can still fix your phone:
go to ezxlocal either by telnet or by samba.
find one theme that works for sure.
delete unneeded themes, leave only the good one and the current one.
overwrite the current theme files with ones from good one.
reboot.

I have just purch. MOTO. A780. How can i install other themes and other software, please guide me. If anybody have some developed software for A780 like mtf installer, Fm radio, A780 file browser, folder lock or, file encrypted/decrypted with password and developed themes for A780.
