Is it hard make a theme??

Hello to all members.

On these days I'll try to make a theme (go here for info http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/m...-a1200-e6.html)

This question is especially for the theme designers of this forum. I never try to make a theme, so I want collect some opinions for starting.

Just go through the guide gradually and you'll proceed without any obstacles . The only thing you need to have is Patience.

First of all you should read the guide by eakrin steadily.
Then read the threads which nim has given the link.
Before starting your own theme, just go through the iconres.ezx file of 4-5 themes.
Then plan a look for your theme(Home)
Then try to implement it on a blank file(size 240*320) using any photo editing s/w(I recommend PAINT.NET if you are new to editing images & icons, afterwards you can use photoshop).
Once you are satisfied with the outer look, cut the images into required size.(Each icon size is present in that guide).
Then find suitable icons and resize them as required.


I will not say theme making is easy, its tough job mainly because it has 1500 to be made to make a COMPLETE skin.(That is not at all easy)

And be patient, you will not get success in one shot.

Ezx Codec is a good program for making themes?

Either Ezx Codec or the Perl Scripts for unpacking and packing both work equally well but if you are a Windows user EzxCodec will be a lot easier.
