Throwback Q8 Brickage

It's been a while since I've been on here lol

Long story short: So I ran over my BB 9700 a few weeks ago and the screen finally gave out yesterday, found my ol' Q8 and attempted to install the 6.1 update and brick. Now I seem to have found a 6.0 file and the flash fails at checksums after flashing the code groups @11% it fails. Any info you guys have would be appreciated. I need some info, or perhaps a forsure version of the firmware preferably SVN02 BP

Problem solved.

Turns out my old laptop was a piece, however my beater mediaserver/linux test machine worked like a charm on XP.

First I had to jerryrig a charging system since the battery was dead, after I charged it for two hours I was able to get it back to flash mode, I then used the first file in this post: http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/m...tml#post232339

That is the .17 Firmware, it is 6.1 and is operational in Chinese, the pros and cons of 6.1 and the way to change it into English are here:
