How to install WM6 or later on Moto Q8

Is it possible to install WM6 on Moto Q8?
If yes, does anyone know how to install WM6 or later on Moto Q8.

there are some bugs in the rom

- It starts in chinesse(you can change the language if you find the regional settings menu ^^)
- It only has chinesse and english
- It has a preinstalled t9 program (wich cannot be deactivated) wich is very uncomfortable for ppl who doesn't want t9 like me
- You have to enable cleartype through registry
- Keyboard light doesn't turn on automatically, you have to turn it on by holding the msg button for 2 or 3 secs
(but you can solve this by a registry tweak)
- It doesn't come with msn messenger, you have to install metanol version for sp(search the forums)

Anyway I think it can be a lot improved with more languages specially

To Load Windows Mobile 6.1

1. Download Motorola USB Driver v4.2 and Install the drivers in ur pc
2. Download RSD Lite 4.5.7 and install it in ur pc
3. Now unrar ur 24R firware version of Win Mobile 6.1
4. Switch off phone, disconnect the phone from USB.
5.Start RSD Lite.
6. Start phone ini FLASH MODE - from off status, press and hold “a” and “return” at the same time
7. Once in flash mode connect to USB
8. PC will recognize new hardware with new driver, because the phone in flash mode appears to be a different device type than a phone. It takes a little while for the new driver to be installed and configured with the newly found hardware.
9. Ask RSD to find / show devices
10. At the top left select the button with a few dots, which will enable you to locate / browse "file manager" for the place where you have the unrar 24R firmware version of Win 6.1.
11. Now press on start buttton for start flashing ur phone
12.wait for the few mins for the completion of flashing process
13. Select it AND just got to the regional settings for changing the language to english
14. There are only two languages on this software release, click the button down which brings up the list and select the second one, it is US English.
15. switch off and restart the phone.


Also cannot get threaded SMS to work and do not have the registry tweak that is floating around.

Other registry tweaks are available for getting rid of the annoying and embarrassing sounds and beeps on the Q8, especially for business users

Is it worth installing with so many cons.
and do we have to press the msg key everytime to turn on the lights of the keys?
Is it the same for cdma moto q?

What I mean to say is, is it same for Moto Q8 cdma,
You see, I have a problem,
I got my Moto Q8 Sprint from USA, which already has a connection and I want to use it in India with an Indian cdma connection (TATA or Reliance)
If I flash my Moto Q, what happens to the previous connection.
I would also like to know how can we back up the firmware (WM5 in this case) already installed.
One more question,
is there any generic f/w (WM6 or +) made for Moto Q9 which can be used in Moto Q9 (so that the drawbacks are avoided)
I hope my questions are not stupid enough to be left unanswered
