New here. Great site. I have a CDMA Motorola Milestone A854 with a small (very small) cellular company (Appalachian Wireless) and I havent touched it yet. The FW is 2.1-update1 and Motorola has already told them that they will never get any software updates. That of course leaves me to look elsewhere for alternatives lol. I read your walkthrough on root/rom upgrade and its clear enough that I dont think I will have a problem with it but the only thing I dont know and maybe someone can help. Do I need to/can I backup my phone at its current state? I would like the ability to back everything up including the current .sbf. I want to be able to make it impossible to determine I have fiddled with it at all in case I need to return it for warranty/insurance purposes. I appreciate any help or advice.
