No network access with CM6 or 7

I've just begun fooling around with modding, and it's gone reasonably well so far. I've been able to root it, as well as install both CM6 and 7 several times.

However, whenever I install either one, I lose mobile network connectivity. I've tried resetting the access points, as well as setting it to WMCA only.

As soon as I restore my stock firmware, it works again.

Any suggestions?
