NO reset MENU after visit to service centre - HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE

Got my milestone back from the service centre. They wiped all data and now there is no recovery menu. I can get to the triangle and exclamation mark but when i press the camera and volume up button no reaction nothing comes up.

Ive tried flashing to stock then to the new GOT 2.2.1 froyo I have froyo working I even have root (courtesy z4root) but no recovery menu. I swear i had it before the visit to motorola service station.

I am not able to get to nandroid, worse still i cant even wipe clean the phone. How is this possible.

ANY IDEA guys. what to i do? Ready to try anything you say.

I am guessing the service centre guy must have done something to lock the recovery image. How do i flash just the image with adb. Any ideas. Breaking my head with this. Its like a challenge the service centre guy is throwing at me. HELP ME guys
