This is the Froyo FRG01 image for our Milestone. but as this is not using the kernel, there are some limit to functions based on kernel requirement. But its close, and works great and is alot faster.

download the latest attached zip , and inside you find a MotoFrenzy-vx.xx-update-nosign zip , which you copy to your sdcard into the folder /OpenRecovery/updates and recover from OpenRecovery menu.
Patches only match the release which it is made for. so 0.1 release has patches 0.1(a-z) and so on. you cannot use 0.1a on a 0.2 release.

(NEEDS FIX, still messing up with "no free space" (FAT partition issue) Apps2SD function using partition2 on your SDCARD

it will autodetect SDCARD size and take 1024MB for apps.
You can enable this function by putting a empty file in the root of your sdcard named:

use_apps2sd

NOTE:
If you want to restore a backup with apps, remember to enable apps2sd AFTER you restored the backup.
make sure you have a backup of the card, if anything goes wrong. but it has been tested and should be safe. backups are always nice!
During the preperation of the sdcard, you phone hangs at the "M" logo, you will see the "blue" led turned on during this process.
After existing application are moved to the new partition, phone will reboot once during the process. This is normal, as partitions change and linux needs reboot.

apns-conf.xml updated with HTC edition (many,many providers)

hardware keyboard fix, lights even when auto light is enabled.

/etc/init.d enabled for startup scripts

audio files updated, as problems with wmv/wma did not work correctly.

completely new FRF91 apk set , provided by Thyrus (from his edition of this image)

Wireless tethering for root users, added, and fixed (Thyrus solution)

wpa_supplicant from droid froyo edition added, and updated to match this release.
This should fix 801.x configuration? (untested)

INSTALLATION

FULL Images are copied to the SDCARD into /nandroid/adbrecovery folder, and installed from your OpenRecovery menu.

Patches are copied into the /OpenRecovery/updates folder, and installed from openrecovery menu.

Radio Band Requirements for different countries
Some countries require the original 3G files of your current ROM to work ie.
Canada, Brazil, Venezuela, Germany and some others countries uses a different band for 3G. If u dont backup the 4 original 3G Files and restore it over this nandroid once installed u gonna have poor signal, sms problems and HSDPA loss (even if u set apn and get conection its gonna be crappy one).
Files should be in the /system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default/ of your phone.
Files can only be copied from OpenRecovery , using adb shell.

You might check this thread , if a update-nosign.zip file exists for your model. which makes it easier for you to install.

I have used the DSP libraries of Droid here, if anyone feels the sound/audio is not correct, try to post information here
I chose to keep them, as the libs seems to have more features than those found on milestone But this might show up to be a problem, but yet not beeen so.

Dext3r have made a quick adaption of the Froyo FRF91 for our milestone.  and the results are quite good. Linpack scores are not much different,  but Quadrant scores are almost triple normal scores.


Image is for OpenRecovery (ADBRecovery) and includes system,data,cache partitions only. (only tested on top of 2.36)

Is this the actual 2.2 for the droid or is it just a modded version of 2.1?
