Skin&Iconres Packager 2.0 E680,E680i,A780,A1200,ROKR E6

in version 2.0 I update reading algorithm for iconres.ezx and skin files for Rokr E6. Rokr E6 's Motoskin (iconres.ezx and skin file) still the same structure as old models. so this update is nessesary for extract E6 iconres.ezx only.

How to extract icons from iconres.ezx by IconPackager.
1. Install Active Perl.
2. get the iconres.ezx by extract it from mtf file or copy from original iconres.ezx at /usr/language/icon.
3. copy unpackIconRes.pl and packIconres.pl in to the same folder as iconres.ezx file.
4. click on unpackIconRes.pl and Command prompt will display amount of icons in iconres.ezx file.
5. go into new created folder "icons". there have icon images, header file, and note.txt file.

How to extract skin-image (*.PNG) from skin-file (*.skn) by SkinPackager.
1. Install Active Perl.
2. get the skin-file (*.skn) by extract it from mtf file or copy from original iconres.ezx at /usr/language/theme/default1
3. rename skin-file to motoskin.skn.
4. copy unpackSkin.pl and packSkin.pl in to the same folder as skin-file.
5. click on unpackSkin.pl and Command prompt will display amount of images in skin-file file.
6. go into new created folder "skins". there have skin-image in PNG format, header file, and note.txt file.

with skin & iconres Packager 2.0 now I can extract RoKr E6 iconres.ezx. (the older version can't do this)

hi earkin i use ubuntu 7.10 i wanna create icon theme for rokr e6 and i was wonderin if ezx files are necessary cant we start from scratch that is like usin sandard file an compressin them plz give a detailed document on this i have some ideas and i ll share it with motofan s

you can create icon from scratch but you need icon's names and sizes from iconres.ezx. so you need to extract main iconres.ezx to get this info.

just extract iconres.ezx and edit icons that you want.

In that zip thats posted in the first post there are four icons iconrespack,iconresunpack,skinpack an skinunpack. First you will need to have pearl packig manager on your p.c,once active perl is installed on your p.c the four icons in the zip will come to life an be ready to use. If you dont have active perl they will just look like nothing. Post comments an Questions on themes here.

Hey dude,
i am new to Rokr E6, i dont know nothing about how to install these themes, have read all post but some files are not working when i am trying to install themes.
dude i will be oblige if you help me providing me all the required installer to install some lovely themes you guys have made.

also please mention many themes dont have *.lin file so how to install these themes without it.
