What is ezxlocal and Why should we install theme in to it.

ezxlocal is 1 of many part of phone memory like phone memory (diska) or sd-card (mmc). but what make ezxlocal special and difference to phone and sd-card memory.

ezxlocal is use to stored phone configulation file (*.cfg), and personal data like contact, sms, mms. and you can't see and access ezxlocal in usb storage mode. to access ezxlocal is only by telnet. ezxlocal have only 5MB size and have available space for us to use about 3MB.

why should we install theme into ezxlocal if it has a small space?
ezxlocal have small space but when you plug usb cable in storage mode ezxlocal will not change to usb storage like phone memory (diska) and sd-card (mmc). phone still access all files in ezxlocal folder is storage mode that mean if your theme in here it'll access by phone.
so if your theme file was in phone memory or sd-card phone cann't access them when in usbmode and phone will hang (stop).

why shouldn't install theme into ezxlocal?
first reason is ezxlocal have small space we can install theme into ezxlocal about 2-3 themes.

second ezxlocal is mainly use to stored personal data. if you have about 400 contacts. your ezxlocal should have only 400-500K available. so It cann't install even 1 theme.

depand on your choise install ezxlocal-theme is easy to use storage mode but you should becarefull about it available space and number to installed themes. or install phone/sd-theme is make you can install number of themes but you can not use phone storage mode.

i have NO themes installed and the ezxlocal is full!

what i should do?

browser cache, contacts, sms, mms, emails, tasks, schedules... every thing is part of ezxlocal. try to remove data which is not vital.

What NO themes installed mean?
1. you never installed themes before or.
2. you was installed but now uninstall all themes.

If you don't have many contact, sms ,mms then try Delete all Theme. It'll clear all remain themes.

Can we optimize or compact the native.db so it will be smaller? (Similar to defrag the disk on the PC?)

before delete i tested with the ezxlocal-mem-test app and had 5.2Mb that is 100% Full.

i deleted so much i could - all sms, mms, e-mail and wap cache/cockies, task and schedules. also i delete some apps and games.

when i deleted the first part (sms, mms, e-mail.....) i had 5.1Mb (99% Full).

when i delete the second part (apps and games...) i get 5.2Mb (100%Full) again.

also i restarted my phone but no other results, allways 100%Full.
something is wrong on my e680 i think.

i hope i can telnet in my e680 again, will try it later.

let try delete_all_theme.lin to delete remain part of theme.

i tried the delete_all_theme.lin, but i had sayd in earlier time i have no new themes installed since more than 1/2 year long.

with the ezxlocal-mem-test app i get only 1% off, this menas i still have 5.1Mb (99%) Full in the ezxlocal.

after a new phone restart i get 5.2Mb = 100% Full again.


also the delete_all_theme.lin does not make BEEP on my phone even with ringtone-on on my e680.

then try telnet to phone and see what inside your ezxlocal folder. theme was install to ezxlocal/download/theme. and contact, sms, mms was in ezxlocal/sysDatabase. go in and check filesize in this 2 folders.

or the last choise is master clear you phone can fix this problem.

i can not change from mass storage mode to modem mode on my e680.

so i think i have to use the "Master Clear". and install all new.
