original iconres.ezx locate in readonly folder. only flash you phone to replace them. or use technic like mount --bind to redirect them but it effect until reboot phone.
Hi.
I have found a lot about creating own skins and found the tool to extract the icons from the iconres.ezx (and create a new one).
Question:
Is there a posibility to replace the original one (found in /usr/language/icons - or similar) to have the modified icons of must it be done via theme installations and .dhm files?
Direct copy does (as you surely assumed) not work and using the Flashkit I could not found the corresponding iconres.ezx in the cramfs´ed mtd5 or mtd6.
Can anybody give me a hint about this?
Thx Sascha

Thx for your answer.
Regarding flash, where can I find the original file in the dumps located?
(I have telnet access and used the flashkit already where i have the four /dev/mtd4 .. /dev/mtd7 "partitions"), but I was not able to laocate the file.
I DO NOT want a "how to flash the phone guide" (there is a lot of helpful stuff here), but I´d appreciate a hint about the location.
Dumped mtd5 (CG33?) and mtd6 (sounded resonable: setup etc), mounted with the loop option in linux, but could not find the original file located for replacing and flashing.

At least it seems that I found another way in building (or replacing) the iconres in a .mtf file, but this is only a workaround.
Thanx anyway for your help.
Best wishes
Sascha
