Hello folks,

I am proud to present you my first java application.
This application should help people comparing and converting themes.
Many thx to mugwump who teached me and helped me a lot!!!
So this is the first version and it is not perfect designed maybe I will add more function in the future.
Feel free to comment!

Image Comparator

- gif and jpg support atm
- compares two folders (name and resolution) and gives following fields equal/not equal/not found
- gives a preview
- can copy all files of the sorted fields
and more will coming....

Take a look at visipics.info, if you would like to enhance this, the guy used imagemagick, and made a magic tool, IMHO.

some news for version 0.0.3 it is not released under testing atm:

- pack / unpack support iconres.ezx for E680,E680i,A780,A1200,A1600,ROKR E6 will check or add other phones too

- quick iconres.ezx convert from A1200/E6 to A780/E680i with no GNB errors will add more convertion if somebody interested.

I was going to reply to my post because I was dreaming (I believe) hoping such a tool (imagemagick + powerfull algo.) to run on these platform!!!

Now I got it!!

No its not for the phone. this program becomes a theme converter and it is for linux/win maybe mac dont know. You need only the iconres.ezx of your original skin and the skin you like to convert. Mainly i working for A1200/E6 to A780/E680i convert because all new skins will be made for newer mobiles.
But this application can also help you to convert the other way around.

It will not work with panther because last java update for this os is java 1.4.12.12 ...

As i will stick to mac os 10.3.9, I can't tell you for tiger or jaguar, leopard.
my os is very good like this, date from 2006, (I thinkk tiger and all those things are adds on for non power pc machine not more) so I updated java the max, but sorry to say at least for panther your software probably is too much "new"...

thx for reporting. I tested it with tiger and it will not work too.
Will see if i can make it compatible or make another version.

And i hope i can release soon a new version, unpacking of iconres.ezx is working. But packing not finished also scaling a gif looks ugly. Better routines cost money =/. I think a one hit convert is not possible atm.
However it extract, compares an copy+rename files so it gives you a nearly complete theme. Only some icons needs to be rescaled manualy after this, only pack it and you are finished with iconres convert.

Is this a usefull application? After this sometime you still need to edit the *.skn file. Should i put support for unpacking "skn" too?
