Hi, there Which software can use for create png-gif image for icons? anybody having link for download that software.......

You can use Photoshop or PSP which both cost a good bit. You can also try GIMP, very good open-source graphical editing software.

You may need a plug-in to handle .ico files......

is there any software that converts a png...or any image extension to GIF neatly without loss of quality..i used GIMP but it makes bad quality gif's..so if anybody knows a better softwere than GIMP please post it here...or just tell da name of that softwere...thanks

Photoshop does a very good job.

In some situations you can just rename png to gif. When this is not possible I used ulead gif animator to create nice looking gifs and you can use this program to make animations too.

but hey,i'm beginner in theme creation ...i understand the all extraction of .iconers & .skn file.. but do i need to create image of ".skn" file-the combination of up-down all icon. or i can only change .iconer file..?

You need to edit skin only if you want,be very careful with the .skn because if you dont know what your doing you could brick your phone. I would use .skn files from other themes until your sure on how to create your own,you could do a recolor to the .skn which wont harm it.

Your iconres is all your icons for the theme,edit these using the wright size's for each one an making sure there clear which is the key. This you can mess around with till you get all the icons the way you like,most people mix an match theme icons so thats also an option an a faster way. If i was you i would try to recolor or fix a theme first this is what i think you should do first just to learn.
