Slicing the skin

Ok...Im working on a theme/skin and I have a question.

The best way for me to do this is by designing in Fireworks (Im a web developer) and use slices...

But, when I try to match icon size to the main image it doesnt seem right...

Here's what I mean. Take, for instance, the GNB. The 4 main icons across the top are: GNB_Home_B, GNB_AddrB_B, GNB_MsgCenter_B, and GNB_InCall_B. Right? K...

The whole width of the bg is 240, yet, the icon sizes (whole, not just the image, but with the bg slice as well) are:

GNB_Home: W=62
GNB_AddrB: W=62
GNB_msgCenter: W=58
GNB_InCall: W=62

This totals 244. So...whats with the extra 4px? How is that possible?

Nevermind...I had one of the sizes wrong!

you may got a wrong iconres.ezx file. GNB icons have 62, 58, 58, and 62 width. and have all 48 pixels when in alert stages.
