    Default Easy 3GP Vid Maker for Linux

    Hi,

    I bought my E680 2 weeks ago (used) and I absolutely love it. Now the problem is I am obsessed with it and this forum

    I have found is there are limited programs for a guy like me who uses Linux instead of Windows. I did find an easy program called 3GPwiz that you can get from http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=35274.
    Suse 10.1 has a package already premade.

    Here are some screenshots:

    cool.. i was never be able to install this 3GPwiz converter on my suse 10.0 linux computer.

    is it possible to convert movies into the 320x240res and not only 176x144 or 208x176res?

    i found another way to convert movies - i do it with the Vitual Dub and divx under wine on suse 10.0 and get 320x240res and up to 30FPS. for the sound i just leave the original stream(direct stream copy).

    another video converter i have is the Lin3gp for linux but the resolution is only 128x96, 176x144 and 352x288, but it does not work with 320x240res.

    and also i have Avidemux but its not possible to get a smal file size in this converter.

    i installed the 3gpwiz now and also Tuned it

    with the video-bitrate-tuning we can use higher video bitrates than only 160kbit.

    here the short manual

    To allow higher bitrates open file 3gpwiz with an editor:

    Before line

    if($field{Tskip} eq "false") {

    insert

    $bitrate_mencoder=$field{Skbps}*2;

    Some lines below you find a line beginning with
    open ME

    Replace vbitrate=400 with vbitrate=$bitrate_mencoder

    Save file 3gpwiz.

    Open file 3gpwiz.kmdr

    Search the line containing

    number>160

    and replace it with something like

    number>1000

    This allows up to 1000kbit/s.
