Default Best settings for non-choppy video

I got kingkong dvd rip and converted to mp4 format, with something like 12 fps, video 192, audio at 96, stereo, aac. And it looks very choppy. Was wondering what are the best settings to get non-choppy video? It looks good, sounds good, but it skips a ton of frames, and so it looks bad. Anyone care to share? I've seen the thread dealing with the max you can have your settings at, but I'm wondering what are your personal opinions on which format will give you most consistent, not best quality. Thanks

Increase your framerate, make the sound on 32KHz w/ bitrate of 64 - that should be ample!

try with 15FPS (realplayer) or 20-25FPS with ePlayer, 320x240res, 300kbit video, 32kbit stereo sound.

but do that only if you have a good kingkong file or dvd for convert it in good quality. if the kingkong file is still bad even playing on a computer the new above settings does NOT help to make the movie better!

    With CMplayer or Eplayer 1.50:

My specs with SUPER C converter (very nice video):

I use AVI for pocket pc conf:

    ffmpeg
    320X240
    29.97 framerate
    4:3
    Hi-quality ENABLE
    Video Bitrate= 336
    audio 24000 mz
    2 channels
    Audio Bitrate 96

mpeg aroung 700mb = 300 mb after converted (around 1 hour only)
very nice quality not laggy. But if u dont have a big sd card just decrease a lil bit all bitrates.

I used your settings, butcher, and the video does look smother, because of the framerate, but i still get that choppy pausing every two seconds. that's what i'm trying to get rid of. i don't care so much about the quality of the video, i'd just love it to not have that slight pause every 2 seconds. anything that might be able to fix that??? I'm also using CMplayer overclocked MPKG version. Would it be better using the non OC one, or Eplayer?

that pausing that you mean is from the dvd-drive and a bad encoder program and its buffering, that was used for making that file you have now... i know that from earlier time when i make some movies files from dvd's, some of them had these pausing every 1 or 2 sec.

yeah, i use super to convert also, and have 1 gig of ram on computer, and have it ripped onto my computer already, which is where i convert it from, so i don't see why the problem would happen. i'll try restarting the phone to see what happens.

First of all does it play fine on your comp?
Here's my settings. .mp4 format, divx codec at 512kbps, aac audio at 64, stereo, 22,500 hz. The frame rate doesn't matter really, but make sure it is the same as the original in order for it to look its best. obviously 320.x240 res
I use super like others here.
This will take up a lot of space but it will look great and give you full control (if the stats are too high eplayer's controls won't work).

I also use Swap. I almost never ever get that jumpy quality.
Oh, and I use eplayer 1.5 which is overclocked so it's just great

it plays fine on my pc. do you think it could be because of slow sd card? how to enable swapfile?
