PSP VIDEO 9_ 1.74 Converter

I have a problem with the pspvideo9.
1) I downloaded pspVideo9_Install
2) I extracted it and istall it
3) I chose to install pspvideo9, AviSynth 2.5, and startup
4) After it was done, i clicked on the psp video9 icon
5) I windows came it and said
pspVideo9.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application?

i just use the freeware VirtualDub for converting .avi/.mpg divx, xivd(and more) based videos. for wmv and asf->avi/mpg i use the stoik video-convertor (freeware) on windows.

on linux i do no know a good video converter program for avi/mpg(divx) -maybe someone can tell me what video-program he's using under linux.

I use Avidemux2 under linux and windows, it's free and more flexible than v-dub (to me). It's available under MacOS X and BSD too ...
