NEO GEO Information

Hi everyone

I have some information wanna let you guys know. After 1hr of research of neogeo rom. i found out that when we unzip those file most of the file end with the extension .rom. i read some forum they say that rename the .rom to .bin due to version issue. after that add qutie a number of file from neogeo.zip to the rom file.i was not sure about neogeo.zip but i was able to get the correct neogeo.zip. they say that this was a neogeo bios rom. hope anyone here can help out with this.

Larry: after 2 hours testing i dont think the bios work

this is what has i done :-
1 try
- extract neogeo.zip
- rename *.rom files to *.bin
- put into Emulator\MAME\* here
- run swap 128 + EZXFBA
- tested games "Metal Slug X"
- result "EZXFBA crash when complete loading"

2 try

- extract neogeo.zip
- put all the files into Emulator\MAME\* here (this time no rename *.bin)
- run swap 128 + EZXFBA
- tested games "Metal Slug X"
- result "EZXFBA crash when complete loading"

3 try

- using uni-bios22 from http://users.acn.gr/lagakis/bk/files.htm
- run same as 1 and 2
- result FAILED



hope caoteng0222 can provide some info about bios

here is the right bios,just keep the neogeo.zip in Emulator\MAME\

but there are still some big problems with Metal Slug X(speed is slow and the color),I don't suggest you guys to play now
another game runs perfect is Shock Troopers (I like this game)
