I'd stick with the 6800.
Guys, this may well be in the wrong place (hell, it isn't even motorolafans related).
I'm not a gamer - but I like to at least be able to play a game.
Now I have a Legend 6800 GS. I can get this other guys MSI 8600 GTS, but want to know if it's a worthwjile buy for possibly small upgrade. The thing I'm just not too sure about is this 8600 is 128-bit architecture, whereas my current 6800 is 256-bit. But I only think I'd experience better performance out of the 8600. And that's what I'm looking for.
I don't want to turn this into a huge debate. All I want to know is if it is a decent upgrade (and I'm not prepared to buy a new card now, so don't need other recommendations).
So, if you're a gamer, tell me if you could only have either the Legend 6800 GS, or the MSI 8600 GTS - which would it be?
Thanks.

well i own a 8600GT 512MB
Its good but its not a decent upgrade @ this moment.
Stick with 6800 and upgrade to 9 series when the price drops.

Yeah, I've decided not to waste money unnecessarily! And since I'm not a huge gamer, maybe it's not worth it - rather upgrade to 8800 or high-range 9 series. But I think I'll keep things the way they are, and only upgrade the 3d card together with a new system - which will probably be in a couple of years - granted my current doesn't decide to pack up.
I generally only really do video capture/processing (which doesn't require much beside processing power).
Thanks for your suggestions. I was tempted, because I do believe I'd get an improvement, but I guess it's not worth it and it's just taking for granted what I already have.

PappuDC is right I think , I own the 9400 GT and its worth the price , Crysis , COD 5 all give the best performances..
