can we use sim card of supported networks like airtel or vodafone, in an iphone bought from some other country, like from USA.

I doubt that it would work in a phone 3G bought from the USA. You would have a better chance of it working if bought from Europe, or better yet, China. From what I have heard, the iPhones that they get are unlocked already.

You best bet really at this point is to stay away from the 3G, as there is no software unlock for it yet, and stick with the original iPhone. The only major loss is the GPS, but IMO the original feels a lot nicer than the 3G.

Is unlocking/jailbreaking an iPhone will void the warranty? This will be a big problem here, if it is void the warranty. Since I'm planning to have one.
