This is just a little warning to other iPhone owners.
Kinda Long Story
I had a bad experience last week at a Target store in south Florida. I was there with my family, and as usual I wondered over to electronics and started playing with the radios that have built in iPod docks. I was testing how they sounded with my iPhone. On the 3rd or 4th one I tested, when I plugged the phone into it, the screen went completely white, so I quickly grabbed it off, and all seemed fine. Later that day, my iPhone popped up a little message saying it was damaged and needed repair, so plugged it into my computer and tried to restore it with iTunes. Thats when bad god worse, it got stuck in restoring firmware for hours and never completed. Then it just wouldnt turn on at all. Needless to say I was mad and didnt want to be without my iphone, so I went to eBay and bought another one. Then, while waiting for it to ship, I called apple, and found out that mine was under warranty, and luckily enough there was an Apple store down the road. Then they asked for my AT&T phone number..... so I gave them my T-mobile Number
and they said they couldn't find that number in their database. So I explained that it wasnt an AT&T, and they asked me if the phone was unlocked, and told me it wouldnt be covered under warranty if it was. I told them it wasnt, then there was a few moments of silence, Im sure they knew I was lying. But they sent me to the Apple store, and a few minutes later I had a brand new iPhone. Since it wouldnt boot up, they werent able to tell at the store that I unlocked it.
SO.....
Moral of the story: If you have an unlocked iPhone and need it replaced.... call Apple to see if its under warranty, then electrocute it so it wont boot, and its all good.
Also, I have an iPhone for sale if anyone is interested![]()
so long and thanks for all the fish
its a first gen 8GB
here is the item number from eBay (140259418433) from the auction I won... I have the same user name on eBay.

I will leave the firmware alone or upgrade it to 2.0 or 2.0.1 unlocked/jailbroken or locked to AT&T for anyone who wants it.
