dude with mings in india i dont think flashing wud b a gr8 idea unless u want a hybrid, since ur 12p will not give u problem in any mods or application u want to cramp in ur phone(i hav a 12p and i hav done and re done every available mod out thr)
moreovr flashing is not the simple and maybe if u fail ur fone is rendered useless.so if u know any1 around who has done it ask him to do better do it for u,
incase u hav done it already conrats
if not go ahead read the threads in forum any doubts ask me via mail(nxtdoorboy@gmail........since i cum round after long intervals)and only then flash ur phone, also download an english fw most of the download link u find are chinese fw for that matter....................................all the best

well thats not entirely true my friend.. I have a Ming which came with the vanilla firmware( .08p ) and i successfully flashed it to Bint's .53p and belive me its worth it coz i use a lot of internet and the speed is fabulous n so is the battery life.. Though i will agree with nxtdoorboy that flashing can be risky and it didnt happen for me at the first go but the second time around it went smoooth and butter and here im with a new f/w and its advantages and not to mentin its disadvantages..
So u can try a firmware upgrade aur itna tension lene ki koi baat nahin.. par haan refer to the firmware flashing sticky's...

I flashed my phone with a firmware its compltely awesome then apllied the edge patch by radio comm and my edge got enabled on my a1200 but
Problem :
1 when i used to access gprs with bluetooth my phone automatically disconnects after few minutes
2 when i use to connect using usb cable my phone gets Switch off automatically.
3 it also gets heated .

here are my problems please help me i would be thankful to all who will help me please reply me at my mail

Take back up your phone and do master clear and rest at once then try with usb cable
Be sure your phone battery full charged...
