There is two processors:
1. AP (Application processor) - Intel Xscale PXA 270 - this is a heart of Linux system and other things connected to user.
When we make backup - we back up only AP part
But there is another thing:
2. BP (GSM stack processor) - it does GSM, GPRS, works with CG1 part from firmware. in original firmware this part available but we CANNOT extract this part from phone and this part is RSA signed and hardlinked with bootloader. if we change something in CG1 - bootloader rejects load program to BP and phone won's load AP part.. Phone is dead and needs reflash with original firmware.
Some A1200i have new bootloader such as 24P firware and don't know about old firmware RSA - and wont's downgrade to previous version of firmware and
But! thereis a turnaround - Vilko from motofan.ru HACKs bootloader from E680i phone model and now we can put in E680 CG1 from A780 with EDGE support!!! Trying this now.
Sometimes later i think we make clear bootloader without RSA sign for A1200 and then we can downgrade not only from 24P firmware - we can make work new A1200i with old firmwares.. I think.
