I don't know if this project has been died or moved to another discussion.
I'm trying to localize to Polish lang Mot E6. I'm using all your soft and advices to do it.
Everything seems to be ok, but I've got few problems. Localization works but after extracting and backward integrating oryginal soft (even without any changes) there is no SCREEN3 feature and USB camera under USB mode. Have you any idea why? Is there any newer version of cramfsck tools?

You must have used parts of a different firmware, one with no USB camera option and such.

it's impossible, I've got only 11.12.08p firmware, to be sure I've deleted all files from cygwin folder, extracted with radiocom firmware, I've made extraction and without any changes I've packed firmware, result was the same, no screen3 and no usb camera option. WWW008W shows 11.12.08p firmware.

You need "unpackIconRes.pl", "calchash.cpp" and "buildicons" files the others in this package you don't need

perl and gcc have to be installed to run these.

Maybe it's a problem with rights? Do you use a linux comp or cygwin?

I use cygwin, could it be problem with this?
I'm linux newbie. I've got new Suse instalation I'll try to do it on linux, but after finishing translation. I've found Ahmen's firmware, I find it very good, so I'll try to localize this version.

With cygwin you need cramfs tool with rights file because cramfs needs information about rights for any file. This information gets lost on a windows pc.

I have changed original cramfs.exe and cramfsck.exe in cygwin /bin folder to the ones booster posted here. It works fine:

Doing cramfsck there will be produced a file called "rights" inside the current folder (you should rename it if you open more than one CG file, otherwise it will be overwritten) and in cramfs command you need to give in the path to that file. If you add any file (or change names of folders/files), you need to edit rights file before building cramfs. Look for my posts in this topic where I report how I did it, for the correct comands.

If you do it with linux, you need to be root while doing this and you don't need rights file. But when I tried to do it with Ubuntu I later had problems to handle the new CG file (while making sbf file). Windows sometimes couldn't find or copy it maybe because this file was owned by root and windows couldnt handle this. Maybe there is an easy solution for this but I don't know very much about linux too

I didn't write this before but of course I've read all topic and I use cygwin with rights file. Despite of this packed firmware behaves in that way I've described
I use the same file version (size, date, time) as you attached above.
I even found cygwin sourceforge site and I read that cramfsck is a tool to pack and extract data for small devices, so method of packing is a standard. That's why I find it very suprising that only this two items (only this two I've found) do not want to work.
I've almost finished translating firmware to Polish and I've found Ahmen's firmware as a best one untill, so later on I'll try to extract, add localization and pack again this firmware. I'll see if there will be any changes in behaviour.
