Compression is really good for those bulky shx files
get it here fast:

p.s. for any people who dont want to lose their contacts, use the
free mobical syncml server over gprs. http://www.mobical.net
Works nicely with contacts and calendar.

both versions contain the ram downloaders (rdl0 and rdl3)
in the code groups, the full version contains
0,1,2,3,18,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39
while the 1ff version contains
0,1,2,3,18,34,35,36,37,38,39
so the difference is only the code groups 32 and 33, which have the sizes of 876400bytes and 25083904bytes respectively.
Code group 33 is, of course, the rootfs, and 32 is the kernel.
It seems that the 1ff version is an update of branding, and not anything else.
All the other files match byte-for-byte.
Conclusion: to REALLY upgrade the phone, you will need to flash the full version, which includes code groups 32 and 33.
btw, the new firmware *feels* MUCH faster.
at least the app list seems MUCH more responsive !

is there any way to make the c4 version support mpkg file installation?
the e680i v3 version can do that directly....
ppl on ccmove has tried the c3 + v3CG33 file...
cant you just use the mpkg install for e680i? i havent tried it tho
well, can use the mpkg installer for e680i...
but that only shows the qt application as APPNAME
with the v3 firmware, it can install the mpkg file and shows the actually name... somehow motorola blocked it at later firmware...
where is this v3 firmware? so that means it can use type = 4?
its available on their ftp..
its not as stable as the cx release
but it supprt type = 4 ...
i'm guessing maybe the app responsible for that should be either windowsserver or am. but since its slow and unstable, i dont think its worth using it over the c4p
