E680i Maximum Advantage without Flashing and Quickly

Guide To Install the following Applications on E680i (Original Firmware) For those who want to Master Reset, Master Clear their Handset and Format their Memory Card but don’t want to waste time!!!

This is also for those who are bit scared to Flash their phone



This Guide is for those people who want to Master Clear and Master Reset their E680i Handset but does not want to go through the hassle of installing most of the applications they need. This is also handy for those who are Newbie and do not know where to start. They often land up asking 3 frequent questions:

1> What is Linloader and where can I get it?
2> What is MPKG Installer and where can I get it?
3> How Can I Uninstall MPKG programs?

Before we start let me explain the common confusion every newbiee has:

.diska = phone memory itself = root of your phone (see the figure in step 5)

PS: When you connect your handset to the PC via data cable, you can see the file structure on your phone memory which is .diska. Don't look specifically for the file or folder name .diska and waste your time.

So Here We go.

First Download the “E680i_max_programs.rar” file and extract it using WinRar or similar program on your PC/ Laptop in a folder say “E680i_max_programs”.

Step 1
Connect Your Phone to your PC and make sure you can see the hidden files. If not, then enable it on your PC as shown in figure below. If you are using Windows then go to

Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View



Step 2 (For those who have Linloader installed on their Handset)
Before applying Master Reset and Master Clear your E680i Handset, please backup all your contacts and Messages. Kindly find the “BackupRestoreNow” directory in “E680i_max_programs” you just extracted on your PC and copy that to your Handset Memory Card (mmc/SD). Disconnect your phone and TAP on “ezxdialog.mtf” (located in BackupRestoreNow). After getting “Operation Successful” dialogue, open “BackupRestoreNow.txt” to learn more on backing up the contacts and Messages.


Step 3
Connect Your Phone to your PC and take the backup of everything stored on your memory card including the “Backup” folder and keep it on your PC. You will require that later, especially the “Backup” folder which contains your contacts and Messages. Now disconnect your handset.

Step 4
Now Master Reset (000000 - Default security code) and Master Clear (000000 - Default security code) your phone. Also Format your memory card.

Step 5
Explore the “E680i_max_programs” directory on your PC, go to
MemoryCard > system (since Windows does not allow the file name to start with “.” I have used “_”, therefore _system = .system)
Select All and just Copy everything. You need not paste anything for now.



Step 6
Again connect your phone to PC, Go to the “.system” (Which is visible only if you have enabled, view hidden files, as explained in step 1) directory of your mmc/SD a paste everything. If it asks to replace everything, click yes. Now all the programs, including Linloader and EZXMPKG installer / uninstaller is copied on your mmc/SD. The next step is to assign them to the proper files so they can function. Do not disconnect your handset yet.

Step7
Go to “E680i_max_programs” > Phone Memory > and copy test.lin to you phone memory (.diska). Now,
Go to “E680i_max_programs” > Memory Card > and copy all the files, except _system, as shown in figure below to your mmc/SD.



Disconnect your phone and reboot it. Now comes the Assigning part.

Step 7
PS: You have to assign these applications only once and will get associated with their respective files in future.

Assigning .lin files to linloader
Go to Phone Memory and tap on “test.lin” file. You will get the error message as shown below because .lin is not assign to Linloader, yet.



Again TAP and hold on “test.lin” file and select open with, as shown below.



Scroll down to find and select Linloader application and do not forget to check “always use the program to open this file type. See figure below. Press “OK”



Close and reopen file manager. New file “test1.txt” should be created. Your Linloader is installed successfully.


Assigning .MPKG files to EZXMPKG installer.

Go to “mmc/SD > test” and tap on “ttsplay-1.2.mpkg” and rename .mpkg to .pkg hence “ttsplay-1.2.mpkg” becomes “ttsplay-1.2. pkg”





Now tap and hold ttsplay-1.2.pkg -> hold until popup menu appear. Select 'Open with' menu and select 'EzxMpkg Installer' and check 'Open with this program' option, as shown below.



You should get a Popup dialog "Install application in to phone." Wait for few seconds/ minutes until "installed application complete." Appears. Now restart your phone or change icon's order Mpkg applicaiotn's icon will appear in group 5. Your EZXMPKG is working fine. ttsplay-1.2.pkg file that was installed can be delete.

Final Step:

Assigning .zip and .rar files to LINZIP.

Go to “mmc/SD > test > “rarfile.rar”
Now tap and hold rarfile.rar -> hold until popup menu appear. Select 'Open with' menu and select 'LINZIP Installer' and check 'Open with this program' option, as shown below.







Repeat the similar steps for .zip file !!!

CONGRATULATIONS !!! You have done your task Well !!!


Quick Notes:

Figure below shows the folder containing test files, Xgif Wallpapers and games, which can be played using EZX Emulator, Xsnes9x and scummvm



Please Note:

1. Flash flies (.swf) files will go in “flash” folder

2. EZX Emulator and Xsnes9x ROMS will go under “Games”. To Play these games Just tap on File Manager > EZX Emulator > Select the file you want to play and press run

3. Scummvm games will go under “MyGames”. Just tap on the .lin file to play this games.

hmm....I was wondering if there is any way we can bundle all programs into one single executable file and install everything in just one single TAP ....

i can do it...but it will be a long time you need to wait to install all...using mtf format you can compile all your files including the plugcardDB..and also adding loader and mpkg installer

just a thought , What about the handset which have been flashed? I mean they have built-in MPKG Installer, more preloded games, gain table ... blah blah. Is it possible to bundle their system files, programs, firmware, and make it into single executable so one does not really have to flash? I guess am asking too much

If you have just Linloader (not Neo Installer) installed in your phone then don't ignore steps 2 and 3. This will help you to retrieve all your contacts and messages. If you don't mind loosing them then just ignore steps 2 and 3 but not 4. You will require to Master Reset and Master Clear your phone to get rid of all the junk data. In other words your phone will be restored back to original factory settings, like a new baby
