    Default Is it true that.....

an E680i with un-modified software can't be accessed with the usual Belcarra USBLAN trick?

    Thanks,

I think so, otherwise silvio probably wouldnt have made an modified cg33, seems like a waste of time then, unless he just wanted that for the auto execution of scripts on plugin. Not sure though.
Yes, but does it run Linux?

open text editor in phone, the one in the phone. type this:

save it as anything.lin. put to modem mode and connect to pc. once the pc detected the phone, or after a few seconds, click the lin.
It's working OK for me (unmodded firmware)

Oh okay, so then youll have an E680 and an E680i? Youre lucky. Im thinking of purchasing 1 too btw, but i'd feel really stupid buyin a phone thats 95% identical to the one im using now.

yes it looks stupid but my intention is to sell the E680 as well once I'm confident with the E680i

not stupid at all, I am having fun with this phone so much that I would like to buy a second to have as a spare, just in case something happens to the one I have (plus, my wife keeps borrowing it...)
