phone/contact/SMS database

Hey all,

Something weird happened to my phone last night. Everything was working fine last night, then I rebooted the phone and all my contact/calendar meetings/and SMS's were gone. The phone will not even read the contacts/SMS's I have stored on the SIM card. If I use the utility that let's you know how much memory you have left on the SIM it registers correctly. I'm thinking it is something with the program. I had a copy of my native.db on /mmc/mmca1/.system/backup/sysDatabase and I copied the contents of that folder into the main phone database folder. I believe that was /ezxlocal/sysDatabase/. Has this happened to anybody? Anybody happen to have an idea on how to fix this. If I can have it at least read the contacts I have on the SIM card, I can probably get the rest over time.

FYI.

Just listing the troubleshooting steps that I have taken with my issue.

I ended up doing a master clear and master reset. This fixed the database issue, by deleting my whole database, but my phone ran like crap afterwards. Whenever I would use eKonsole the whole phone would lock up. Then I realized that the master clear, probably deleted some important files on the phone. I decided to reflash, since I lost everything anyway there should be no harm. I'm back to square one. I'm guessing a corrupt database entry caused the problem, but I do not know how to fix or identify it.

My phone is now working great. This time around I got to dabble with vllp.sourceforge.net localization and themes. I installed the Italian language pack and it works great. I still need to reinstall the software packages I had before, but all in due time.
