    Default multisync problems

    Hello All,

I can't get multisync to work via bluetooth or usb.

I am a Gentoo Linux user and I have been working for close to 18 hours (with some sleep in between) to get multisync working on my rockin phone.

B/w I must take a moment to thank are the brilliants folks on this website for making my phone... ohhh so much more. You don't understand how quickly linux zealots will start drooling over command prompt on a phone. And even more when telneting... hehe. But back to the problem at hand.

I followed several different howto's on this forum to get myself setup. I used cma353 iwww.motorolafans.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=6143&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=mack+connectivty&start=0]nternet sharing package[/url] to get leoppp and mack connection kit.
I used rpconnect's e680_connect script to get ppp running on my gentoo box.
And finally, I used the A780 linux guide for general setup and setup/patch multisync v.83. (even though the patch is for multisync v.82 it seems to patch and compile fine. IE no errors in multisync debug mode)

I can connect to the phone via usb or bluetooth for telnet/samba use, but SyncML OTA returns an "Unable to connect to sync server" message even after starting IntShare (I assume this is mack's connectivity kit, but with an icon).

Here are my data network settings:
    Profile Name: local bt
    APN: 192.168.1.3
    Timeout: off

    SyncML OTA Settings:
    Data Paths:
    X Contacts
    contacts
    X Calendar
    events
    X Tasks
    todo
    no Proxy
    Server Name: http://192.168.1.3:5079/sync
    Username: phoolish
    Pass: <something>
    data connect:
    local bt

    multisync settings (SyncML patched):
SyncML Role: SyncML Server: Accept Connections
    Connection: http://<this computer>:5079/sync
    Authentication:
    login: phoolish
    pass: <something>
    options:
    X Disable string tables

What am I missing? Is there a way to check if Mack connection kit is on ( I assume it is because when I start IntShare I am not able to telnet into the phone until intshare has been disabled)? Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance

    B/w I am running e680i with a flashed e680g C5.AEP by sandman

Yeah, I want to change the music on the server from my cellphone in another room... eventually.

    Thanks for reading though.

Tried before connecting, tried after ppp0 connected (IE SPP established and PPP icon selected), and after selecting IntShare. All returned the same.

    Code:
    l2ping 00:15:A8:9E:92:C9 -c 3
    Ping: 00:15:A8:9E:92:C9 from 00:80:C8:24:98:46 (data size 44) ...
