So have about 50 movies all in 320x240 format, real movies (not you tube or anything of that sort).

The issue is, they are all WMA format and I have played around trying to convert them to a format that my moto e680i will play - 3gpp or rm. Nothing has worked reliably.

I have also loaded qplayer and other apps that supposedly will play wma but nothing has worked.

Does anyone know a free converter from wma to a playable format for the e680i? If so, the only other thing is to find a place where I can upload the movies...then everyone can enjoy them

i have no problem to convert wmv to mp4, it works it the 3gpwiz on linux..

on windows you can convert wmv to avi/mpg/divx with the stoik videoconverter(freeware).

or try to play these wmv with jPlayer or ePlayer(mPlayer) they should work.

from where did you downlaod these movies?

I've been collecting these for a while, I have I few to add but require some work.
I'll try the stoik video converter to see if I can convert them. Once I'm able to play them, is there a place where I can upload a view? These are quite large files....most of them about .5gig to 1gig.

just look that you convert the movies like that:
250 Kbit video 25FPS, 32Kbit mono or stereo mp3 sound for Divx,mp4,3gp jPlayer, ePlayer. the size of the movie is up to 300Mb.
or
200 Kbit video 15FPS, 32kbit(or so) mono or stereo for .rm realplayer. the movie size will be 200 - 250Mb.

didn't you get a free converter software from motorola when you bought your E680i?it could convert .dat file to rm file...

Thankss for the input. Honestly I didn't have time to do this over the weekend but I will work on it tonight.
I hope I can get these movies converted. I haven't seen a post yet if I can upload these anywhere...or at least a couple so people can check the quality
