I'm newbie in e680i so please don't hurt me
I installed linloader, I think correctly, I have one icon with smile which is named AppName.
I also installed mpkg-installer and I have 2 icoins in user1, one with the flower and chinese signs and the other with computer(like instalation icon) which is named AppName. I want to know have you got the same situation.
I want to install mp3player so i sent it to mobile and i clicked some chinese
girl said sometnhing ans nothing happend. After this I have icon in user1 with sign of mp3player (I guess so) which is named AppName and i can't rename it ... :/ It works correclty, I think.
And the other case is that i wanted to install neo-installer, I sent both files to the phone, it means intall-neo.lin and unzip, but when i click on install-neo nothing happens. Please help !

two things:
first I think you installed linloader incorrectly since it's supposed to show up as a green downwards arrow

secondly, when you have it installed properly don't forget to "right click" (tap on the file and hold the pen there until a "right click menu" shows up) and choose "open with" then choose linloader from the list of apps

to make sure linloader is working properly you should use the "test.lin" file that came with it, a test.txt file should appear if it's working properly

Using mpkg installer results in all (m)pkg apps being renamed to "AppName", personally I suggest using a modified CG36. It makes mpkg installation much easier, simpler, and versatile (and makes it easy to uninstall the apps as well)

the linloader you install is the one with .mtf extention name (i mean loader680i_sd.mtf or something). if its the one then you had it properly installed. LinLoader has 2 versions. one with green arrow down icon and the other the yellow smiley one.

how to use linloader. tarwin is right tap and hold on the file until a message box appear then look for the smiley icon and click "always use this to open file type". In your case, click and hold install_neo.lin. that will do the trick.

moreover, tarwin is also correct it is better to use modified cg's with preloaded MPKG installer.

six more questions:
1) is installing CG36 safe ? is it some kind of firmware ?
2) after this have I to install linloader ?
3) have I to reset all settings by master clear and reset or I can just install it
4) will I lose after this all data ?
5) while i check my firmware is shows that it is:
E680I_G_0D.C5.ABP
E680I_G_0D.B3.B1P
which firmware is the best and will I find it on this forum ?
6) is any RTS game on e680i

cg36 is part of a firmware, not the whole thing
installing it CG36 via flashkit does not erase any data nor require you to master reset
ABP unbranded is better than ABP branded
AEP is the fastest (exists only in branded)
linloader is necessary to use flashkit
no idea what RTS game is :S

if you update to AEP you would lose all your data so you'd have to make a backup to restore it later
the AEP is available in the AEP thread in the stickies

no, you just install CG33, whichever version you want, though CG33 has nothing to do with mpkg installation

you can't rename the existing apps, you'd have to uninstall them and reinstall them

any mpkg app installed after flashing the CG36 will show up with its real name and will let yo choose where you install it, both category (office, multimedia, tools, etc) and memory (preload, phone, memory card).

If you're just looking for mpkg installation don't bother to flash the full firmware, just flash the cg36
