It's me again.

Finally I did some tweaking. And here is one result:

This is a new boot logo. Its definately worth a look since that crappy "hello moto" is really annoying. This one is a picture of tux, the linux penguin. Enjoy!

Quick instructions:
When flashing, insert this file while erasing. Don't forget the root fs. The process is similiar to the process described somewhere else. The difference is this additional file which needs to be replaced.

so the only difference between this fw and the regular e680i fw is just the boot logo? is this also telnet-able? did you remove the china mobile startup as well?

I guess you downloaded the complete flash "suite". There are some instructions around replacing the cg33 file. You have to replace that _AND_ the logo file.

You meen modifing acmattach.txt?Should i add only echo MotNet > /proc/motusbd, if mod both 33 and 37?
P.S.Any news on unbranding?I.m on dial-up so whats the size of image you're uploading?

yes, you have to change the name to whatever the firmware is
