Deleting contacts/calendar

I have somehow corrupted my calendar in my phone. I keep getting beeps from the phone like a calendar entry but the phone doesn't light up and nothing shows on the phone screen. Have restarted with no luck. If I try to access the calendar in phone tools it just crashes. None of the entries before today show up.

How do I blow it all away. Have telneted to the phone and tried deleteing the files (native.db etc) but it just complains that it cannot unlink them.

make a backup of your database using telnet and master clear it, that's my suggestion
