    **************************************

    AllPosition = 200 <- change this number so it doesnt conflict
    BigIcon = loader.png
    Directory = * (see below)
    *************************************
    do i just copy n paste the directory that you written?what should i change?i don't understand bout the ../../../../ means???

    Exec = lin_loader
    Group = 3
    Icon = loader-sm.png

    * for a780:
    Directory = loader
    Type = 4

    * for e680i:
    Directory = ../../../../mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/loader
    Type = 2

    and one more thing.where do i have to send the test.lin?should i send to phone directory or my sd card directory.

    I must have missed it if there is, is there a mailing list or irc channel to discuss this kind of thing? I could use some help in figuring out how to do some things on this.. (migrating from another Linux device)

    For some reason I can't write Plugcard DB to the TransFlash. I have a recently bought European A780. When I try to save in Wordpad I get an error message that I can't have access.

    At first I thought the file was read only, but it wasn't. The .java and the .system directories, however, are. I can't get to remove that attribute. That is, Windows seems to have done it, when asked, but when I check the folder's properties it somehow has restored it's previous attributes.

    That really has pissed me off.

    But trying to keep up the good spririt, so: did any of you encountered the same problems? Did I overlook something? Or is perhaps my Windoze knowledge too small ?

    I have an a780 and I just can't get it to work

    Here are my steps:

    - create folder
    N:\.system\QTDownLoad\loader

    - copy following files
    sdcard\.system\QTDownLoad\loader\lin_loader
    sdcard\.system\QTDownLoad\loader\loader.png
    sdcard\.system\QTDownLoad\loader\loader-sm.png

    - copy test.lin to a few folders

    - edit N:\.system\java\PlugCardDB with wordpad
    [AppLinkInfo]
    AppLinkCount = 100000001

    [MimeInfo]
    MimeCount = 100000000

    [AppLinkRecord100000002]
    AllPosition = 27
    BigIcon = loader.png
    Directory = loader
    Exec = lin_loader
    Group = 3
    Icon = loader-sm.png
    InstalledDate = 2005/5/9
    JavaId = -1
    Mime =
    MpkgFile =
    Name = LinLoader
    OsVersion =
    Position = 1
    Rotation =
    Shared = 0
    Size = 24K
    Type = 4
    uid = 100000002

    - restart phone

    Now after restarting there is no icon anywhere...so not in the bottom of the home screen or in the programs, what did I do wrong?

    Also trying to open the test.lin file didn't work, it only says no program can be found for this type of file or something like it
