desktop shorcuts

I was going through the themes and found that

in my e680i I only have 4 desktop shorcuts

but almost all the themes posted here have 5.

why is that?

The 5th shortcut is not a shortcut - it's the vibrate/ring mode button

try the home setup screen from the setup menu to change the two right most icons. The left most icon cannot be changed, that's for the ring style and volume. If you want to change the middle and left icon, you have to check other threads, there's a complete instruction set.

so is there no way to unlock the first 2 shortcuts? what about the possibility of a seem edit?

yup! theres a way to change the first 2 shortcuts you just have to edit ezx_idle.cfg using xptools or qonsole. theres a post in this forum. search for changing shortcuts. what you have to do is just change the corresponding number code of the app that you want to put in your cp.

thanks, that i've already done. my question was to "unlock" the shortcuts because the dropdown selection for the first two are grayed out. answers, anyone?

sorry bro. even using the latest fw (AEG), we can not unlocked the first 2 desktop shortcuts. i think that's the only way
