Hi there,

After reading few threads and trying to follow, I finally decided not to flash my phone, the guides are quite broken and inconsistant, file missing and wrong link sometimes........etc. And since my Hong Kong firmware is generally consider as the best original, so I will not do the flashing unless I can find an accurate and complete guide to it.

There are some flaw and bugs I don't see mention in the post or I missed, I wonder if any flashing can improve the phone to function as a PDA/Smartphone, other than making it do better MP3 and gaming, here is my wish list.

1. Ask or do nothing when USB plug in.
2. Usable battery meter.
3. Check mail every and auto clean trash on exit option.
4. Navigation pad usable for scrolling on email.
5. More selection between 1 and 6hrs. in calendar reminder.
6. Large caller ID photo.
7. Build in backup utility.
8. Auto memory in FM radio.

The original phone tool is also bad, for known reason my SIM erased when restoring contact, and duplicated contact on phone, the contact still not support Chinese after few auto updates, the only change I found is the skin ! well this is a Linux phone how come no Linux phone tool !? I wish I can use Oxygen but unfortunately they did not support this phone yet.

my bad, I forgot to mention that I was referring to the current HK release
AFAIK, the latest HK candidate release I heard of is not out yet
and I now checked the "attach signature" checkbox

1. why would you want it to do that?
2. all motorolas seem to have horrible battery meters
8. mine remembers which station i was on last before i closed it
and as for your sim being erased... never happened with me and i've been using my phone for over a year now. and the phone DOES support chinese so if anything it is your sim card that doesn't support chinese



underscore: you have no sig... and latest would be the aep firmware but its not out yet (right now only a patched aapaep version is out)

2. Is there any way in s/w can improve the battery meter and charing ?
8. Auto memory I mean auto storing of received station during scan.

The PHONE TOOL does not support Chinese contact.
Typo : for UNknown reasons the sim contact erased during restore.

It is actually "the Paradise" of E680i firmwares and modded CGs.

I don't have problem with it other than those mentioned above.
I just find one more add to my wish list, it is minor but useful as a Smartphone. The alarm clock one set will function repeatedly even power off, so it can be used as wake up alarm, but the calendar reminder does not do this when power off, this is just opposite to Nokia, I want both alarm function when power off.
