Default mtf to change reminder tone

Here is an mtf I found on a chinese website that changes the tone of your reminder tone, it works good for the calander at least, it changes your ringloud.pts etc and puts in a new sound file which I think can be changed as long as you name yours the same, of course after you install you will have to change your rintones back to the way they were.

    you're right
but can we change the tone to something other than mmf? I don't like mmf, plus mp3 or wav give me much more versatility

i would say you could by editing the pts files to change the extension from mmf to mp3 etc, from what I read on the forum here people seemed to have alot of trouble changing the reminder tone, it would stop working etc, but this mtf seems to do the trick, im not sure if there is something more to it or not. Personally I love mmf files because they seem very loud and clear on this phone.

Yeah, I tried editing myself but no luck, tried both wordpad and notepad
wordpad modification wouldn't ring at all (at least the modification)
notepad did but every tone changed to the default temp one

I'd use mmf but I don't have a good array of them so there's no point really in converting to a format which I don't use anyway *shrugs*

hmmmm, just tried with ultra edit to change it to a wav file and sitll no luck. (although at least with ultra edit the rest keep on working fine).

i have alot of mmf any specific one you are looking for? I posted my whole ringtone collection, mmf, mid etc in the ringtone section if you wanna look. I like mmf simply because they seem to break through the noise where ever you are, really clear and loud where as an mp3 can often blend in with background noise
